“Erling took it very hard when he realized he couldn’t fight for the team. Fortunately, he has a lot of self-confidence, talent and cohesion in this group to score points in the next games,” said Norway coach Stale Solbakken.
Haaland, 22, has scored 42 goals in 37 games for City. The team led by the Catalan Josep “Pep” Guardiola will play again on April 1 when they resume the Premier League at home against Liverpool, and 10 days later they will play the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich German.
