WhatsApp is one of the most widely used and popular messaging applications around the world. The company constantly strives to improve the user experience and to offer new features that increase the satisfaction and security of its users.

One of the new features in development is for groups that get forgotten after their use date.

It is common for users to have multiple abandoned groups, so WhatsApp is working on a solution that allows these groups to expire after a certain amount of time. In this way, space will be freed up in the application and group management will be improved.

In accordance with WaBetainfothis new tool in development will allow WhatsApp groups to self-destruct after a certain period of time.

The function will be configurable and users will be able to choose between four options: one day, one week, custom date and remove expiration date.

The expiration date setting will allow users to set the duration of the pool and remove the preset date at any time. Although the feature is not available yet, it is expected to be released very soon.

The beta in which this feature has been seen is only for iOS users, which means that Android users will have to wait a little longer to try it out.
