Füllkrug charges Germans for friendly match against Belgium | Friendly

After the debacle at the World Cup, Germany must prepare itself for the European Championship with a series of exhibition matches. Peru lost 2-0 in Mainz.

Niclas Füllkrug, one of the few bright spots at the World Cup, scored both goals. No longer as a substitute, but as a basic player.

The Germans played a strong first half. Füllkrug opened the scoring after 12 minutes. Wirtz and Werner collided with the Peruvian goalkeeper Gallese.

Stay of execution, because after half an hour Füllkrug was there again. The Werder Bremen attacker doubled the lead after a great cross from newcomer Marius Wolf, his 5th goal in as many international matches.

In the second half, substitute Serge Gnabry hit the crossbar, Kai Havertz hit a penalty kick on the post.

The Germans will practice against Belgium in Cologne on Tuesday. Don’t look for Rüdiger, Gundogan or Müller. They are not in Hansi Flick’s selection.
