Frankfurt has Baumgartner in its sights

ÖFB team player Christoph Baumgartner is in great demand.

In addition to clubs from Italy, Spain and above all from the Premier League, a league rival also seems to be eyeing the technically adept offensive man.

According to a report by “Sport Bild”, Eintracht Frankfurt has targeted the 23-year-old international.

With TSG Hoffenheim, the attacking midfielder is fighting against relegation in the league. With five goals and four assists, Baumgartner is still one of those squad players who are less struggling with their form crisis.

Release clause is halved on relegation

The sporting performance of Sinsheimer in the German Bundesliga is having an impact on Baumgartner’s potential departure. Should Hoffenheim hold the class, the agile right-footer can be committed to an exit clause for 30 million euros, according to media reports.

In the event of a descent into the lower house, the sum is halved to 15 million euros.

Since Frankfurt has two internationally sought-after transfer shares in its ranks in Randal Kolo Muani and Jesper Lindström, coach Oliver Glasner’s club would probably have no problems with such sums after a sale.
