Foot OM – OM: Longoria attacks Russia for Payet’s successor

Next summer, OM will be one of the most anticipated teams on the transfer market. Depending on whether or not it qualifies for the next Champions League, the Marseille club will try a few shots.

OM are in the midst of a fight to finish on the podium this season in Ligue 1. Igor Tudor’s men are off to a good start and are runners-up to PSG. The objective is clearly to go to the Champions League next season. First for economic returns but also for future ambitions in the summer transfer window. Already, Pablo Longoria is sounding out a few profiles to strengthen the workforce of Tudor. And the Spanish president has targeted a talented young player who plays in Russia: Eduard Spertsyan.

Longoria already places its pawns in the transfer window

According to information from the Gazzetta dello Sport, OM appreciate the profile of the 22-year-old Armenian international. It must be said that this season in the jersey of Krasnodar, Spertsyan is playing at a very good level, as evidenced by his 10 assists given and his 11 goals scored in 27 games played. The attacking midfielder is a promising player, promised a future outside of Russia, whose teams are also excluded from European competitions. At the end of the contract in June 2026, Spertsyan is estimated at 9 million euros. An affordable price for the finances of OM, which lacks players in its position and which will have to prepare after Dimitri Payet, at the end of his career. Note that the Marseille club is not the only club interested in this “new Kvaratskhelia”, since it is also the case of AC Milan. In any case, Pablo Longoria is already at work to draw the outlines of OM’s future workforce. The targeted profiles are those of young players, who can be resold more easily in the future. But if the mayonnaise takes, everyone will be a winner on the Canebière.
