Fluminense agrees to sign Lele — Fluminense Football Club

Make the L immediately, tricolor crowd! This Thursday (30/03), Fluminense signed striker Lelê. The 25-year-old player, who stood out for Volta Redonda in the Carioca Championship and belongs to Itaboraí Profute, signed a loan agreement until December 2023 with an option to buy. The striker will wear the number 99 jersey at Tricolor.

“I am very happy for this opportunity, a unique opportunity, to play in such a great team. Also happy that the teacher (Fernando Diniz) liked my work. I will dedicate myself to the maximum so that I can perform at my best and achieve all the goals of the club. I had a very happy start to the season. Now, here at Fluminense, I hope to continue so that we can go in search of important titles”, said the player.

With 13 goals scored, Lelê is the vice-scorer of the 2023 State Championship, behind only Germán Cano, with 14. He also scored in Volta Redonda’s victory over Falcon, in the first phase of the Copa do Brasil.

Lelê is the tenth reinforcement for 2023 announced by Tricolor, which had already closed with striker Keno, laterals Marcelo, Guga and Jorge, midfielders Lima and Gabriel Pirani, defender Vitor Mendes and goalkeeper Vitor Eudes. The club also renewed with important players for the team, such as striker Germán Cano, midfielders Paulo Henrique Ganso, Jhon Arias and Michel Araújo, midfielders André and Martinelli, right-back Samuel Xavier and defenders Manoel and David Braz, in addition to to formalize the permanence of coach Fernando Diniz.
