Finally! Zinho Vanheusden is back as a real football player. With his dream comeback, the defender also lets his team know that they can still count on him.
Zinho Vanheusden had to spend two months without football after he got stuck at AZ at the end of January. The former Standard player recently started training again and made his return on Tuesday in a friendly match against Dordrecht.
“I am very happy to be back on the field,” says Vanheusden on the AZ site. “It has been a difficult period in which I have sometimes been deep down. Fortunately, I have many family and friends around me who have supported me along with everyone within the club.”
???? What a free-kick, Zinho!

That exhibition game against Dordrecht was won 1-0. Guess who scored the goal. Yes, Vanheusden curled in a free kick wonderfully. “I am also very happy with that. Normally it is the attackers who take the free kicks, but now I saw the ball and I wanted to go for it. It was comfortable.”
