Estelle Mossely beaten in the round of 16 of the Worlds

Estelle Mossely (30 years old) was beaten on points 0 judge to 5 (twice 28-29, three times 27-30) by Colombian Angie Valdez (32 years old) in the round of 16 of the -60 kg World Championships Olympic boxing (ex-amateur boxing, three rounds of three minutes), Tuesday evening in New Delhi (India).

Undeniably, the 2016 Olympic champion has not sufficiently reaccustomed to Olympic boxing, still boxing professionally (ten rounds of two minutes) on February 17.

Also in the round of 16 on Tuesday, Wassila Lkhadiri (-50 kg), Amina Zidani (-57 kg) and Fatia Benmessahel (-63 kg) qualified. In a hotly contested fight, Lkhadiri beat on points 3 judges to 2 the Armenian Anush Grigoryan. After having clearly won the first round, the Frenchwoman was more mobile against the Armenian who imposed enormous pressure.

Zidani, in a fight where the two women boxed a lot hands down, won 4-1 against Puerto Rican Ashleyann Lozada, counted standing in the first round. In a much more animated duel, Benmessahel, better technician, mobile, eliminated 5-0 the powerful Mongolian Shinetsetseg Uranbileg.
