Eintracht Frankfurt lacks speed in Berlin

Kevin Trapp: An unfortunate afternoon for the international goalkeeper, doing almost nothing and conceding three goals, twice catching the ball through his legs. In the case of Becker, he was lucky that the shooter was just offside.

Total: A lot of good passes in the build-up game, concentrated in defense, clumsy action that led to a yellow card against Becker. At 0:2 from Behrens second winner in a header duel.

Hrvoje Smolcic: Came into the team because of his header power and was able to prove it. But his lack of speed was also noticeable. Could have prevented the 0:2 with more speed.

Evan Ndicka: A hair-raising pass, two or three uncertainties, otherwise at the level.

Aurelius Buta: Assets on the right. Strong timing in his advances. But the success rate of his crosses was disappointing. Once he put the ball softly on Kolo Muani’s head, but several times he failed to find the teammates in a promising position.

Daichi Kamada:Strong start, then lost a lot of his ability to assert himself. Nevertheless, with two great chances that the Berlin goalkeeper Rönnow thwarted.

Djibril Sow: Countless duels in midfield, in the first half responsible for Frankfurt’s superiority. In the second half, he became increasingly entangled in a battle of attrition without providing further impetus.

Christopher Lenz: A couple of unfortunate moves, most notably when he overzealously took the ball off Borré’s foot and fired high over the goal. Otherwise solid, closed the left Frankfurt side.

Rafael Borrè: Everyone would have forgiven him for making little constructive contribution to Eintracht’s offensive game if the Colombian had used his great chance to make it 1-0. Played wonderfully freely by Kolo Muani, he only managed a harmless roll in the middle of the goal. Unfortunately for him, he was denied an assist after his spectacular lob to Buta, and the resulting opportunity didn’t end with a goal either.

Mario Götze: Excelled in the first half with his fine passes and his overview. Less seen in the second half.

Randal Colored: The outstanding player on the pitch and yet also a reason for the Frankfurt defeat. With four great chances, the ball can fly into the goal. He also shone with two outstanding assists, but he was also denied the honor of the scorer.

Lucas Alario: Came earlier than usual for Borré (66th minute) and also had two chances to shoot. It’s understandable that he’s not in top form.

Philipp Max: Came for Lenz in the 73rd minute and attracted attention as a dangerous crosser.

Faride Alidou und Paxton Aaronson: In the ten minutes they were on the field, the youngsters were unable to provide any impetus for the turnaround.
