Eidukas 28th place in the sprint at the World Cup in cross-country skiing in Tallinn / Diena

In the stage held on the territory of the Tallinn Song Festival stage, Eiduka covered the track in the qualification 11.81 seconds slower than the owner of the best result, Sweden’s Jonna Sundling, who spent two minutes and 29.18 seconds on the track.

Kitty Auziņa ranked 44th (+24.69), and Samanta Krampe – 51st (+34.48) in the competition of 55 skiers.

In terms of International Skiing Federation (FIS) points, Eiduka’s result was evaluated with 95 points, Auzina – with 198.61 points and Krampe – with 277.36 points.

In the quarter-finals, Eiduka ranked 28th, in the semi-finals, where 12 skiers made it, without qualifying.

The victory was celebrated by the Norwegian Kristine Stavos Skistad, who completed the course in two minutes and 34.58 seconds in the final, celebrating the fourth victory in her career in the World Cup sprint competition.

Sundling was 0.13 seconds behind, and Swiss Nadine Fendrich was 2.33 seconds behind.

Norwegian Tirila Udnes Veng, who finished in 14th place on Tuesday, is the leader in the overall ranking of the World Cup with 1888 points. American Jessie Diggins is second with 1778 points and Finnish Kertu Niskanen, who can no longer win the overall standings, is third with 1670 points.

Eiduka earned 26 points on Tuesday and ranks 21st overall with 787 points, but is the leader in the U-23 ranking. The closest follower, Margreta Bergane from Norway, has 411 points.

On Tuesday, the first points in this season’s World Cup competitions were also earned by Kitty Auziņa from Madonia, who now ranks 155th with seven points.

Eiduka started with the second number, Samanta Krampe – with the 46th number and Kitija Auziņa – with the 47th number.

To reach the elimination competition, you must finish among the top 30 skiers.

Tallinn, which is hosting the World Cup in cross-country skiing for the first time, is hosting the penultimate stage of the World Cup, with athletes competing only in sprints.

The World Cup season will end on Saturday and Sunday in the Finnish city of Lahti.
