Direct | Coviran Granada – CB Gran Canaria

The worst image at the worst moment. Club Baloncesto Gran Canaria could send a message of ambition for the Playoff, but gave way with a bang on the court at Covirán Granada (80-66).

The Gran Canaria Basketball Club, which featured Andrew Albicy, AJ Slaughter, Nicolás Brussino, John Shurna and Olek Balcerowski in the starting five,

lacked forcefulness in the early bars of the match at the Palacio de Deportes de Granada (8-7, min. 5).

After the initial 0-5,

the yellows dynamited the income without clairvoyance in decision-making or foreign success -one of eight in triples-.

The Coviran Granada,

with the Claretian homegrown players Christian Díaz and Petit Niang -six points and four rebounds- assuming chevrons, took command of the duel (13-9, min. 7). The Senegalese tower maintained a pulse of height with Balcerowski -four points and three rebounds-, the most toned in Jaka Lakovic’s squad.

The Slovenian coach moved pieces,

even though the second unit wasn’t plugged in either. Pablo Pin’s squad, in need with only one victory in 13 games, imposed its rhythm and punished the defensive gaps of an unknown Granca -only active in offensive rebounding-

and that he was losing Damien Inglis to injury -He landed badly in support with his left leg after a jump with Maye- (19-13).

matter of heart and success

The script could not be more daunting. El Granca controlled the rebound -18 catches of which six were offensive-, but it was not enough to enter the race, being surpassed by heart, desire and success -six of 16 in shots from two and two of 14 in triples- (30 -18, min 15).

Lakovic he despaired and requested timeout to connect his players. But nothing changed.

Renfroe, Petit and Bropleh destroyed a Granca who bordered on ridiculous -six of 17 in shots from two and two of 13 in triples- (39-20).

After passing through the changing rooms, it was time to change the image and improve in all aspects of the game to have options.

Albicy and Brussino hit from the outsidebut Díaz from Gran Canaria -nine points and two assists- excelled to bring the Andalusian fans into a frenzy (48-28, min. 26).

Bassas and Shurna were hoping for a chaotic clash.

Too many doubts when it was time to give a coup of authority against a squad in negative dynamics (49-33). A technical foul on the bench for protesting and a loss brought peace back to Covirán Granada.

it was a mirage. Covirán Granada took advantage of the defensive imbalances to punish and regain calm, practically savoring their seventh league victory in their fight for permanence (68-48).
