Detroit imposes more restrictions for Miguel Cabrera in the WBC

The last World Baseball Classic for Miguel Cabrera is not being a great show for the Venezuelan and the blame does not lie with him, since the limitations that his team, the Detroit Tigers, have implemented do not allow the normal development of his actions.

During the regular round, “Miggy” could only play in two of the four matches, a situation that was criticized by fans of the international fair.

Now for the knockout rounds, the Detroit Tigers have limited the maracayero in a more drastic way, allowing him just one turn per game.

Which means that Cabrera could not start in the starting line-up against the United States and would only be used in an extreme case. Context that complicates even more to see the ‘major tiger’ become the only player to hit a home run in each of the five editions of the tournament.

How can this limitation affect Venezuela?

Although the role of Miguel Cabrera in this World Baseball Classic has focused a little more on the hierarchy and the spirits of the dugout, not being able to count on a triple crowned on the field of play will always mean an absence of weight.

A man with so much history at the highest level of organized baseball in the United States is needed in every aspect of the game. In nine turns that he has completed in international competition, he has only managed to connect one unstoppable, which could be linked to the lack of rhythm and continuity in his turns.
