Dennis Schröder loses German NBA duel against Hartenstein

National team captain Dennis Schröder’s winning streak with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA has ended.

In a duel with DBB teammate Isaiah Hartenstein, Schröder and the Lakers lost 108:112 to the New York Knicks after three home wins in a row. Schröder got 14 points.

Hartenstein, whose Knicks ended a three-game losing streak, didn’t score but clinched 11 rebounds. Towering for the Knicks were Julius Randle (33 points) and RJ Barrett (30 points), who scored more than half of the points.

The injured superstar LeBron James continued to be absent from the Lakers. The Lakers remain in contention for a place in the playoffs in 11th place in the Western Conference with a record of 33 wins and 35 losses. The Knicks are on course sixth in the East.
