Christ’s request about his future at Sporting

Christ is clear about what he wants to do beyond June. The Sporting forward has reassessed his future plans this Wednesday, after the team’s training session in Mareo. He has done so by remembering the same phrases shared in the interview given to LA NUEVA ESPAÑA last October. Neither the replacement on the bench, nor the irregular march of the Gijón team have altered their roadmap in these months.

“I’d like to stay, even if it’s not the time to talk about it. I understand that the club isn’t thinking about it yet. Me neither, but I’d like to be here. Sporting is a big club and I’m very comfortable,” Cristo explained about his situation in the rojiblanco club. Loaned until the end of the season by Udinese, there is a purchase option to remain in property. At the moment, everything is stopped.

Christ assumes the two faces seen in Albacete. The good start to the game, which he defines as a situation in which “we were comfortable, light. I felt like that. Then we have ten minutes that cost us the game. The corner and my loss. They are two actions that you disconnect and shoot at overboard everything that seemed to be going well”. As for the ball stolen by Olaetxea and which triggered the La Mancha win, he is self-critical. “I try to get out and I don’t look who is in front of me,” he explained. In any case, he does not feel strange when it comes to participating more “in his own field”, since Ramírez has chosen to give him a role a little further away from the area. “I feel comfortable because I am more in contact with the ball,” he assured.

The disappointment at the poor performance of the team was another of the issues addressed by the Sporting striker. “We have a great team and the results have been below expectations. There is not a single reason why everything has not gone well. Many things have to be improved. Everyone has to grow. I don’t know how many will continue and how many will not. Those of us who are here or whoever are there must be clear that this year expectations have been below. The club is working and changing things in a positive way. It shows from within. Everyone is contributing from a different energy. The club works for it The future of Sporting is going to be better than it was”, he sentenced. He had, in turn, words for sportinguismo: “The fans are sovereign. They are right. The only thing I can ask or say is that we are going to give everything. When we feel their love it is very positive, which is almost always. We have a bad run, but don’t doubt that we are committed”.

Gio and Campuzano, KO and chat with Marsà

Gio Zarfino and Víctor Campuzano were absent when Sporting returned to work this Wednesday. The Uruguayan is still affected by knee tendinitis, while the Catalan has been diagnosed with a muscle problem in his hip. Both, therefore, it seems difficult for them to participate in Sunday’s game against Mirandés. The image of the day occurred at the end of the session. Miguel Ángel Ramírez, the rojiblanco coach, had a chat with José Marsà on the sidelines of the group. The Barcelona defender has been a fixture since he arrived in Gijón in the winter market.
