Chapter 2. Bundesliga is over

Bürstadt will be back in the third-class Oberliga in the future – but that’s not due to the sporting achievements.

Burstadt. It had been apparent for some time – now it’s official: The 1st Judo Club (JCB) Bürstadt will not compete in the 2nd Bundesliga South this year. The men’s battle community of southern Hesse will start again in the third-class Oberliga Hessen. “As a club, we have decided to voluntarily withdraw from the league. This is primarily due to organizational reasons associated with the high requirements of the German Judo Federation,” Bürstadt’s press officer Wolfgang Keltjens told this editorial office.
