Klopp gambles with only two midfielders… and four strikers!, to look for the miracle

In the minds of the ‘reds’, the 7-0 that they endorsed Manchester United a little over a week ago

Liverpool arrives at the Bernabéu with a very negative result from the first leg (2-5), so Klopp has decided to go all out. The tie ‘is already lost’, so the German coach has devised an eleven with four forwards to look for the miracle.

A little over a week ago, in a spectacular game of theirs, they managed to get past Manchester United 7-0. At a football exhibition and spectacular punch, the Anfield men showed that they can turn such an adverse score around… and they are going to try.

This is the Liverpool lineup

Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Konate, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Milner, Diogo Jota, Salah, Gakpo and Darwin Nunez

The German coach has decided to go for it all with four strikers. If Liverpool has something, it’s gunpowder up front and it has shown it by lining up Diogo Jota, Salah, Gakpo and Darwin Núñez together. On the bench they will wait their turn Firmino y Oxlade-Chamberlain.

In the center of the field, bet on Fabinho and Milner, who shielded by Van Dijk and Konaté, the two center-backs today, will have to try to hold on to the team. It will not be an easy task, since they will face the Modric-Kroos couple, two seasoned players in Champions League qualifiers.

All balls into the box

On the wings, the usual two to put all the balls in the area that they can. Specialists in finding their teammates, they will have to constantly look for space, double down and reach the bottom line to put pressure on a Madrid that will try to play with the result.

Liverpool is facing a ‘mission impossible’, but Klopp warns with the starting lineup.
