Vincent Kompany likes to do everything step by step. You can smash the gate to the Premier League through promotion with Burnley, but the English press already sees him at Tottenham!
The Spurs are looking for a new coach after the departure of Antonio Conte. Several names are mentioned as possible successors: Nagelsmann, Pochettino, De Zerbi, Rodgers. The Sun previously also mentioned Vincent Kompany, even though the ex-Red Devil is heading for the title in The Championship.
The English tabloid now goes one step further: it reports that Kompany is the number 1 top candidate in the eyes of Daniel Lévy, owner of Tottenham. Kompany himself would also be interested in the position, as Burnley only needs a few points to be mathematically certain of promotion.
It would certainly mean a firm turn if Kompany left Burnley before the end of the season. Earlier, the ex-coach of Anderlecht stated that he does not want to skip a single step. A scenario where that does happen would be very surprising.
