Brazil loses first place in the world ranking after losing to Morocco

Brazil is no longer number one in the world in football. The country lost a friendly match against Morocco 2-1 on Saturday.

This defeat dropped Brazil to second place. Argentina took the lead after beating Panama 2-0. Brazil now has 1834.14 points, while Argentina has 1839.90 points.
Morocco is still in 11th place. The country won 6.63 points by beating Brazil. But the difference with Spain, which is tenth, is still big. Spain beat Norway 3-0 in the European Championship qualifiers.

Brazil is a five-time world champion in football. It won the World Cup in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.

The FIFA ranking is updated every three months based on various criteria such as the result of a match, its importance and the strength of opponents. The last ranking was in March, the next ranking will be published in June.

However, the website football-ranking.com keeps track of the points count live and creates an up-to-date score of the interim ranking.
