Amateur boxing returns this March 11 to the Yesterday Recreation Center, in Turmero, Aragua, to celebrate the Gilberto Mendoza Festival in its seventh edition.
The event, which includes 20 bouts, will have the endorsement of the World Boxing Association (WBA). The participation of amateur boxers from:
- Lara
- Guárico
- carabobo
- Aragua
- The delegations would arrive on the afternoon of Friday, March 10, the day the technical conference will be held.
CELEBRATING THE LEGACY
Gilberto Mendoza was in charge of the WBA from 1982 to 2015, and his management paid special attention to the athletes. In addition to the creation of social programs that were available to the underprivileged, he focused on making the regulations adapt to changing times.
