Boris Becker and money – an inexhaustible topic that has brought him a prison sentence in London, but also a lot of ridicule. In a villa in the best half-height location in Stuttgart, the former tennis star has now spoken about money in front of the camera for a commercial on behalf of entrepreneur Philipp Neuffer, whom he has known for a long time. “Don’t throw your money out the window,” advises the tennis legend with a mischievous smile. With this, the 55-year-old praises new windows that save money “due to high energy efficiency”. The advertising clip has been ready for a few days.

Restaurant guest photographs Becker and his Lilian with his cell phone

Boris Becker concluded the advertising deal with the online platform Fensterversand.com, in which the Stuttgart company Neuffer und Türen GmbH has a stake. The eternal Leimener therefore lives at times with his girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro in Stuttgart. You can often find them both around town.

Last Friday, several guests saw the famous couple at Ristorante Nannina in Gablenberg. Host Fabio Di Tommaso, whose mother Giovanna “Nannina” Di Tommaso has been in the kitchen for 40 years (first in Bonlanden, now in Gablenberg) and has many fans, reported one of the four-seater table, and took pictures of Becker and his girlfriend Lilian with their cell phones – without the consent of the two and without the consent of the restaurant manager.

The landlord Fabio Di Tommaso is pissed off

Fabio Di Tommaso told the cell phone photographer that the recording that was made could only be used for private purposes, not posted on social media or sent to a newspaper. Despite this clear request, the guest sold the photo to the “Bild” newspaper, probably for a three-digit sum. Which then published an article about this photo with the headline “Becker enjoys new life in Stuttgart: Bankruptcy-Boris and La Dolce Vita”. And the landlord at Nannina is pissed off. He has now banned the guest who passed the photo on to “Bild”.

Most of what Di Tommaso had to read in the tabloid is not true, he complains. So he doesn’t keep a permanent place free for Boris Becker (“Everyone here has to reserve in advance, regardless of whether their name is Wolfgang Porsche or Boris Becker”). The former tennis star did not come on foot either (“He came by car on recommendation, hardly anyone comes by accident here in Gablenberg”). And you can’t talk about luxury prices with him either. In the family-run business, the mother does everything herself, which is why the prices are perhaps higher than at the Italian restaurant around the corner. But since Boris Becker is now earning money again as a testimonial, he can afford a meal between 20 and 30 euros, the landlord thinks.
