He was released from prison in December. Now ex-tennis pro Boris Becker is back as an entrepreneur and advertising ambassador.

Berlin. Ex-Tennisprofi Boris Becker has only been free for a few months, but he is not idle. He commented on the Australian Open in the Eurosport team of experts back in January. And Becker also seems to want to get other jobs back: He landed a new advertising deal, this time with a window mail order company.

It’s a comeback that’s ironic: just three months after his release Former tennis pro Boris Becker earns his money again with advertising. In the new commercial by Fensterversand.com, the 55-year-old throws money out of the window and at the same time warns against doing it.

Quite self-deprecating, Becker was in London at the end of April 2022 two and a half years imprisonment convicted for withholding millions of dollars in assets from his insolvency administrators. He was released in mid-December after 231 days in detention. A special regulation for foreign prisoners made it possible.




Boris Becker: tennis legend earns 25 million US dollars with advertising

According to media reports, Becker still has to give part of his income to his after his imprisonment liquidator resign. Nevertheless, or perhaps because of this, he is now back as an advertising face.


After all, the tennis legend knows his way around advertising deals: Estimated $25 million Becker is said to have earned in the course of his life with advertising alone – about as much as with his tennis career.


Becker was already a brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz and advertised the Nürburgring. But he also banged the drum for online gambling and the hardware store Praktiker.

Probably his most iconic commercial was created in the nineties with and for the internet provider AOL. “Am I in there already, or what?” Asks a young Boris Becker across the computer screen in disbelief at the camera.
