Basketball in the NBA: Next bitter bankruptcy for the “Mavs”

The Mavericks lost 109:117 in their own arena against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday evening (03/24/2023/local time) and after a weak performance they turned their fans against them. After the third loss in a row, the sixth in the last eight games, Dallas is in the Western Conference now even slipped out of the top 10. The team around superstar Luka Doncic and German national player Maximilian Kleber slipped to eleventh place, which would not even be enough for the pre-playoffs.

Mavs coach Kidd: “We should have been booed in the first quarter”

The first half in particular was terrible, said coach Jason Kidd. He could understand the boos from the audience in the third quarter: “We should have been booed in the first quarter. We can’t get out like that. Especially not at this point in the season.”

Dallas only led 2-0 against the underdogs, but not after that. The hosts’ best pitcher was Luka Doncic with 34 points, before the game the star player was fined $35,000 for a derogatory gesture towards a referee. Kleber recorded four points.

Lakers have hope after beating OKC, Grizzlies in the playoffs

The team of German national team captain Dennis Schröder won 116:111 against Oklahoma City Thunder and further improved his starting position. Schröder had a strong 21 points and six assists when he met his former club again. Anthony Davis was the man of the evening with 37 points.

The Kings, who have been waiting for a playoff since 2006 and thus longer than any other NBA team, won against the Phoenix Suns with 135:127. Behind the situation comes to a head. The fourth place Los Angeles Clippers only four wins separate them from the Utah Jazz in twelfth place. The top six teams in each conference are sure to make it into the playoffs, with the teams in seventh through tenth place qualifying for a tournament in which the last two playoff spots are awarded.

Golden State on track after beating 76ers

Die Golden State Warriors saved their chance of going straight to the playoffs. The master won thanks to a comeback with 120:111 against the Philadelphia 76ers and is sixth in the West. Jordan Poole was the Warriors’ best player with 33 points, playmaker Stephen Curry had 29 points and 8 rebounds.
