Basketball – BBL sees streaming service Dyn as “external turbo”

Cologne (SID) – The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) wants to continue to grow, and with the switch to the Dyn streaming service, this should go faster. “In order to take a really big step forward, you need a certain amplifier, an external turbo, so to speak. And this turbo will be Dyn, I’m absolutely convinced of that,” says BBL Managing Director Stefan Holz.

Dyn, founded by former DFL boss Christian Seifert, presented its station concept on Wednesday. In addition to basketball, hockey, handball, table tennis and volleyball will also be shown on the platform.

“We expect Dyn to give the easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga and our sport more publicity,” said Holz. He is looking forward to “innovative, cross-channel reporting that basketball in Germany has never seen before: gripping, close-up, personal. I’m really looking forward to this new era.”

This year, Dyn will replace MagentaSport from Deutsche Telekom as the broadcasting BBL station.
