Basket-ball. Tony Parker bientôt au Hall of fame

Tony Parker at the Springfield Hall of Fame, it’s only a matter of months. Four years after the end of his NBA career, the French basketball player, already preselected, should finally be inducted this summer, according to ESPN. The information could be confirmed by Saturday and the start of the NCAA Final Four.

“TP”, 40, ended his career in 2018 with the Charlotte Hornets after 17 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs where he won four NBA championship titles in 2003, 2005, 2007 (elected MVP) and 2014. In this place which welcomes the biggest stars of the competition, he will find there his friends from Spurs Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili with whom they have formed a formidable trio.

With Popovich, Wade, Nowitzki, Gasol and Hammon

He won’t be the only one inducted this summer. At his side will be Dwyane Wade (three-time champion with Miami), the German Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks legends with 21 seasons including a championship title), the Spaniard Paul Gasol (decisive with Memphis and Los Angeles), the mythical Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and the only female in this call, Becky Hammon. Titled six times in the WNBA with the New York Liberty and the San Antonio Stars, she was also Popovich’s former assistant coach before becoming WNBA champion at the head of the Las Vegas Aces.
