Ayo Dosunmu hits a confidence hole

The Chicago Bulls have held on to the fight for the play-in while some of the players that make up the squad battle their own personal challenges and obstacles.

Four victories in the last five games have settled the Bulls in tenth position in the Eastern Conference, but Ayo Dosunmu has not been able to contribute to these victories as he would have liked. In fact, the Illinois coach, Billy Donovan, has recognized that the point guard needs to regain confidence in his offensive game.

“Ayo has always been very competitive on defense,” Donovan said, according to the outlet. Chicago Sun Times. “Their defense of him has improved in the last year, but in attack he is trying to figure out some things, clearly. I think he just has to go through it and find himself on the other side of the court.”

In the last twelve games, Dosunmu has averaged just 5.4 points and 1.6 assists, with a 40.9% field goal accuracy and 26.3% three-pointer. In addition, his minutes have dropped significantly since the arrival of Patrick Beverley.
