ATP – Miami > Lajovic, beaten by Alcaraz: “I can’t compare him to Federer, Djokovic and Nadal but what differentiates him from other tennis players is that he is able to give the best of himself in difficult times”

Although he slacked off a bit when finishing on his serve, Carlos Alcaraz quickly pulled himself together on Sunday evening at 3e turn in Miami to win in straight sets against Dusan Lajovic (6−0, 7–6). The latter gave his opinion on the youngest world number 1 in history after the meeting.

“I can’t compare him to Roger, Novak and Rafa, but he has something unique: he likes to be in a high pressure situation. He has very good shots, intuition and a spectacular ball touch, but the most important thing and what differentiates him from other tennis players is that he is able to give the best of himself in complicated times. He’s enjoying the atmosphere and he’s growing, he’s a lot more mature than his age suggests.”noted the Serb in remarks reported by Eurosport Spain.
