In the home stretch of his career, Feliciano Lopez, beaten by Frances Tiafoe in the round of 16 of the Acapulco tournament tonight, paid a magnificent tribute to his Big 3 colleagues during his post-match press conference.
“Those of my generation are lucky because when I’m old, I’ll be able to tell my children that I was lucky to play against Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Not everyone can say the same. I feel lucky to have played against the three best players in history; they took tennis to a level that didn’t exist and that helped us all. I’m just grateful to these three game masters.”
