AS Douanes beaten by Abidjan basket club (76-70)


Dakar, March 11 (APS) – The Abidjan basket club (ABC) team beat, on Saturday, by 76 to 70, that of AS Douanes of Senegal, during a match counting for the first day of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), which takes place in Dakar until March 21.

The BAL started this Saturday in Diamniadio, about thirty kilometers from Dakar. It will then continue in Cairo (Egypt) and Kigali (Rwanda).

Twelve basketball clubs each representing an African country are taking part in this third season of the BAL.

They are Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), Ferroviario Da Beira (Mozambique), City Oilers (Uganda), Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club (Guinea), Abidjan Basket Club (Ivory Coast), Stade Malien (Mali) , US Monastir (Tunisia), Rwanda Energy Group (Rwanda), Petro Luanda (Angola), Al Ahly (Egypt) and Kwara Falcons (Nigeria).

Customs officers return to the BAL after a first participation in 2021.

The 2023 BAL season will offer a total of 38 matches over three months between Dakar, Cairo and Kigali.
