According West France, Angers defender Ilyes Chetti is being prosecuted for acts of sexual assault. Appeared five times in the Angevin jersey this season, the 28-year-old Algerian international (3 caps) is suspected of having touched a woman in a nightclub. The facts would have taken place this winter, during the truce of the World Cup.
A judgment in April
The regional daily specifies that Chetti, under contract with the SCO until 2026, should be tried in April in Angers, according to the procedure of appearance on prior recognition of guilt (CRPC).
Contacted, the SCO confirms that “information fromWest France are fair”. Indicating that this matter had unfolded “on a private time”, the director of communication of the club, Mohamed Sifaoui adds that the SCO will see the follow-up to be given to this case at the end of the legal proceedings. The public prosecutor of Angers did not respond to our requests.
