Airbus and the National Sport Agency (ANS) announce their collaboration to develop technological innovations to improve the performance of athletes at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The High Performance division of the Agency has requested the expertise of Airbus out of 19 projects that meet the needs expressed by the Fédération Française Handisports and the French rowing, triathlon, badminton and shooting federations. These projects will be financed by the ANS. Airbus will put its innovation capabilities and technologies from the aeronautical world at the service of athletes in order to simplify, lighten and optimize their sports equipment, for example through the introduction of composite materials or the development of innovative mechanical systems. Each project will benefit from specialized medical follow-up, provided by the national physical medicine and rehabilitation network and by the medical commissions of the federations.
