While the international break is in full swing, the lower divisions of several leagues continue to play. This Saturday, Cordoba faced Racing Club Ferrol in Spanish D3 and a tragedy was avoided.
In the 11th minute of the match, the Cordoba player Dragisa Gudelj suffered a cardiac arrest. Thus, the left side suddenly collapsed. Rescuers quickly intervened to resuscitate him on the pitch and an ambulance entered the lawn to evacuate the player.
But while he was being evacuated, Dragisa Gudelj suddenly got up on the stretcher and asked to return to the field. Transported to Queen Sofia University Hospital, ten minutes from the stadium, the player is under surveillance. His condition is stable and will have to undergo tests, explains his club.
The match was finally interrupted when the score was 1-1.
