Immersive open doors

The open doors of the Médoc is a well-known event for wine lovers. An initiative led by the House of Tourism and Wine of Pauillac with the assistance of Médoc Wine Council.   • The Fine Blades of the Médoc

Last year, they reproduced fencing skits on the Lamothe-Bergeron property. And this year again, the Fine Blades of the Médoc meet you there. The association will be present for a dive into the Middle Ages with its medieval camp. Les Fines Lames du Médoc is an association specializing in show fencing and medieval combat.

Among other things, there will be an artisanal Médoc cannery, the Médoc honey producer Damien Magenta Faure, Miki spread… On the designer side, there will be something for everyone too! Embroidery, leather goods, pottery, jewelry, a painter, candles, decoration, soap, manufacture of bags and cushions… All in the sublime setting of the property.

A castle in constant evolution

Since March, Château Lamothe-Bergeron has been certified The Land of the Vine. A certification that takes into account the preservation of the environment, social responsibility and economic sustainability. Terra Vitis, an association of winegrowers born in 1998 in Beaujolais, represents the only national certification specific to viticulture recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The castle is also in the process of producing its first white wines. Vines of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadel are added to the existing Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The first harvests of white vines should see the light of day in 2024. And the first cuvées in 2025 therefore.
