Justin Turner (38) was lucky in misfortune. The baseball star plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the major leagues. In an Aug. 5, 2020 game with the San Diego Padres, the 38-year-old set a new franchise record by being hit by a pitch for the 74th time in a mere 766 games it “took” to do so. Now the baseball pro got a ball in the face.

Justin was hit in the face by a ball with full force during a pre-season game. The 38-year-old immediately fell to the ground and lost a lot of blood. Immediately after the hit, supervisors rushed to his aid. A little later, the Red Sox batsman went to the hospital. Shortly thereafter, his wife reported Twitter: “We are at home now and he is resting. 16 stitches and a lot of swelling but thank god there were no fractures and the scans were clean.”she shared with worried fans.

The MLB club had previously been open Twitter given a first all-clear: “Justin is stable, alert and in a good mood, given the circumstances.” For Justin should now miss a few days of training after the shock in order to fully recover.
