The Yale women’s team coach, who also led the men’s team last season, was fired after receiving harassment complaints

The athletic Club Yale fired its coach from its women’s basketball teamswho was also coach of the first team last season in the Third Promotion Division (DTA), after receiving complaints of harassment.
The coach received complaints of harassment from protagonists of the club’s women’s team, according to the Basquet Total portal.

The Jacinto Vera institution issued a statement indicating that in the case “the protocol established by the BUA (Associated Uruguayan Basketball Players) was followed. and that there is a commitment from the entire organization so that similar events do not happen in the future”.

Yale fired coach after harassment allegations
The club, they add, will reinforce institutional channels to receive complaints as well as support those who are victims of harassment.
Without giving the name of the coach, Yale added that since February 2 the person involved is no longer linked to the club and that the corresponding investigation will continue.
“In this way, we once again express our commitment to the eradication of violence in all its forms, inside and outside the Club”, concludes the note made by the institution’s management team.
