According to the carabinieri who arrested him “for no apparent reason”. To end up in handcuffs is L.V., a 47-year-old Avezzanese, with several judicial records behind him. The targeted car is a small red SUV owned by a woman from Celano. According to an initial reconstruction, the two knew each other but the reasons for the gesture are still unclear. The hypothesis under consideration by the investigators is that there may have been frictions between the two in the past. Elements that will have to clarify why the 47-year-old unleashed his fury against the car, destroying the windows, the rear window and damaging the windshield with a baseball bat. After arriving at the scene and reconstructing what happened, the Celano carabinieri tracked down the man and searched his car, inside which a kitchen knife was found and seized. The investigations carried out by the military established that the “repeated violation of the obligation to stay” was aggravated by the crime of “damage” and “unlawful carrying of weapons and offensive objects”.
Furthermore, the man is not new to such behavior: just a week ago he was reported on the loose by the same soldiers of the Arma who checked him during a surveillance patrol of the territory, finding him outside the municipality of compulsory residence. The 47-year-old was subject to the obligation to stay in the municipality of Avezzano (where he is a resident), a measure recently imposed by the preventive measures section of the Aquila court. The public prosecutor of Avezzano was also informed of the case and will ask the investigating judge to validate the arrest. The man is locked up in the San Nicola prison in Avezzano.
