Striking visit to Anderlecht for the second leg against Ludogorets: René weiler was in the Lotto park. The Swiss coach was curious about his former team. The last time Anderlecht reached the 1/8th finals in Europe, Weiler was still the coach, in 2017. Now that it worked again, this time in the Conference League, Weiler was there again.

If they are superstitious at Anderlecht, they will also invite Weiler to the next round. He has time, because the Swiss coach is without a club. Weiler as a talisman? It could be, because his exit at Anderlecht was not exactly cordial.
Weiler was RSCA coach between June 2016 and September 2017. After a difficult start to the season, he immediately took the title in his first season at Anderlecht and was elected coach of the year, but he was regularly under fire because his football did not sparkle.
After the subsequent bad start to the competition, he was jeered by the Anderlecht fans.
