Basketball: Wagner brothers get next win – Knicks can’t be stopped
The basketball national players Franz and Moritz Wagner have brought in the next victory with the Orlando Magic in the North American professional league NBA. Franz Wagner had his team’s most playing time at 101-93 with the New Orleans Pelicans, but struggled with his shooting percentage and scored 11 points. His brother Moritz recorded 14 points. Orlando remains 13th in the Eastern Conference.
Isaiah Hartenstein and his New York Knicks are currently unstoppable. With the clear 109:94 win against the Boston Celtics, the Knicks celebrated their sixth win in a row and thus consolidated fifth place in the East. Superstar Jason Tatum only had 14 points with the Celtics, the 24-year-old only hit one of his nine three-point attempts. Boston is second in the East behind the Milwaukee Bucks.
NBA: LeBron James threatens week-long hiatus
NBA superstar LeBron James is apparently threatened with a break of several weeks because of his foot injury. This is reported by The Athletic and ESPN. If the fears are confirmed, the 38-year-old would miss the Los Angeles Lakers in the hot phase of the main round of the North American professional basketball league and thus in the race for a play-off spot.
James injured his right foot on Sunday (local time) in the game against the Dallas Mavericks (111:108) at the end of the third quarter. “I heard a pop,” the four-time NBA champion told his teammates, but continued playing. After the game, James limped through the catacombs, visibly battered.
The Lakers have only announced that James will miss Tuesday’s game with the Memphis Grizzlies. James, who has an average of 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists, had recently sat out due to problems with his left foot.
