Ukraine issues Banksy postage stamp for war anniversary – TOP ONLINE

It shows a motif that the world-famous British street artist left on a wall in the heavily damaged Ukrainian town of Borodjanka near Kiev. It shows a child defeating a large and seemingly overpowering judoka.

The tall man in the graffiti is said to be Russian President Vladimir Putin, who likes to boast about his black belt and judo suit. The child, also wearing a judo uniform, obviously symbolizes Ukraine.

The new stamp was very popular on Friday: people queued up in front of the main post office in Kiev to buy it. Banksy, who is hiding his true identity, confirmed his authorship of the work in Borodyanka on his account on the online service Instagram.
