With the beginning of the academic semester, the project for the construction of sports facilities for the Cuauhtemoc University (UC) Town.

Thanks to the support of the rector Jesús Orea and the general director Patricio Orea, the topographic work began to make way for the layout of the land that, this year, once its various stages have been overcome, will become the field of the UC Puebla Warriors.

Rolando Huchín, head of Sports at UC Puebla, explained that the construction of the sports facilities will benefit the project to place the Guerreros in the best university basketball league in the country and, of course, the entire student community as it will provide them with a space for coexistence and recreation.

“Patricio Orea, our general director, gave us the starting signal for a project as important to the institution as the construction of its own sports space. We are very happy because very interesting things are coming up for UC Puebla and, above all, because starting a project as ambitious as this one encourages us to work every day”.

On the other hand, in relation to the progress of the sports project, Rolando Huchín mentioned that, thanks to the couple of test fields held at the GOAT gym, the first student-athletes have already joined the ranks of UC Puebla.

“We had a great response on the first and second try outs. We already have interesting players signed up at our institution and that is also something very important for them because they will be the first generation of Guerreros Puebla. The objective is very ambitious and, as time goes on, we think of competing in the best university league in Mexico, although for now we will start to get trained with participation in local and regional tournaments”, concluded coach Rolando Huchín.
