Many wondered, when the Millonarios squad traveled to the United States, on January 10, to face Hertha Berlin from Germany and River Plate from Argentina in the preseason friendly tour, why among the 20 players chosen there was not Leonardo Castro.

The player managed to be summoned and at the airport, but suddenly it was learned that he did not travel “for personal and family reasons,” according to the club.

The question immediately arose: if it were a legal restriction to leave the country, what will happen to the Copa Libertadores and the duel against the Catholic University of Ecuador in the previous phase?

Fortunately, as explained by the newspaper El Espectador, the reason why he could not leave the country has already been clarified and there will be no more problems.

“On September 19, 2020, the process for full payment of the obligation was terminated and subsequently it was decided to maintain the precautionary measures for a period of two years, a period that has been exceeded. From the foregoing, determine that the precautions ordered against Mr. Leonardo Castro are lifted and an official letter is sent to the risk centers and Colombia Migration,” the site reported, citing judicial sources.

It means that Castro will travel without problem to Ecuador for the commitment on February 23, without a doubt one less headache for the blue in a tournament in which he has high expectations.
