This is how the coaches of Avilés, Marino and Langreo see the day this weekend

A key day for two of the Asturian teams of the Second RFEF. El Langreo, the team that opens the weekend, visits the home of the Burgos subsidiary this Saturday (4:30 p.m.) with the need to win again if they do not want to see their salvation endangered. Avilés receives Arenteiro, first classified, at home on Sunday (6:30 p.m.), in a match in which Emilio Cañedo’s pupils want to obtain the three points to continue dreaming of assaulting the leadership of the group. For his part, Marino receives Guijuelo on Sunday at 5:00 p.m., a team that is fourth but is visiting Luanco in the midst of a crisis of results.

Emilio Cañedo, coach of Aviles

Doubts in the goal. “In the end, Álvaro and Davo are two footballers like the other 20 on the squad. All of them have the same chances to play except Natalio and Isi Ros, who are suspended for this matchday.”

Possible change of scheme due to casualties. “We have to maintain the way we play, the style of play, regardless of the drawing we use. Isi Ros and Natalio are players with replacements within the squad, so we will bet on the players who best replace them.”

El Arenteiro “It is the rival that is showing more regularity throughout the year. It is a very well worked, compact and experienced team.”

A brave opponent. “I think that Arenteiro, with the dynamics that it has and the results that it is obtaining, will be the recognizable team that is seen all year. It is a team that has a very clear offensive and defensive phase and I don’t think they will change that by playing at the Suárez Puerta”.

In case of defeat, goodbye to first place? “We don’t think about losing.”

The support of the fans. “It’s an encouragement for us. We’re at a high point, we’re coming in with good dynamics, we’re a recognizable team that gives everything and the fans appreciate it. We’re at our best moment since we got here.”

The Suárez Puerta lawn. “I hope he’s better. We’re not touching him at all and I think he’ll be in better condition on Sunday than in the last few games.”

Manel Menéndez, Marino’s coach

The Guijuelo. “They are a very difficult rival, who are showing that it is not by chance that they have been at the top of the table throughout the year. They are a difficult team, who barely concede goals against and who maximize goals for”.

The defeat against Zamora. “In the first half we were not good at all, Zamora interpreted the game better. After the break we gave the game a different air and we were fortunate to score a quick goal. When we scored the second we put them against the ropes, but in the end they scored the third and we lost the match”.

End of the good run. “Our three-game winning streak was cut short. The team has to continue with the dynamics of the second half against Zamora, that’s the way. We are in a good situation to do things well. We have to continue with that line to continue scoring at home”.

The virtues of the rival. “Guijuelo has players with very good footing, like Toti, Cristóbal and Carlos Rubén. Defensively they have shown that they are one of the most difficult teams in the group, simply with a goal they can win the game. They come from a streak of five games without win, but we have to look out for ourselves. We must continue to believe in what we do to achieve victory and score three points that will bring us closer to the goal”.

Javi Vázquez, Langreo coach

The state of mind of the team. “The group is screwed. The defeat at home against Compostera was a setback, they were a very good rival but we had high expectations. At the beginning of the week I saw that the team needed to redeem itself. We have risen, and despite the fact that the things are not going so well, we insist and the week is going very well”.

Self-criticism and hope for the future. “We come from two games where we have not been very good. Two weeks ago we had different feelings, and although it is true that the characteristics of the rivals were not the best for us, we have not been very good. On a mental level we have to think “While there is life there is hope. It is a challenge. Now the difficult thing is to keep insisting and for no one to fall apart. We want to insist again, to continue working and fighting to dream and get the three points”.

The casualties. “We have Chus and Samba with accumulation of cards, the rest are all available. The more we are, the better, so the level of competitiveness rises and the more resources I have as a coach, the easier and better I can adapt to the characteristics of the match.”

The Burgos subsidiary. “It is a team that plays a much more attractive game than the one shown by its results. It is a young team, which, although it has its shortcomings due to the age of its players, in no game that they have lost have they had a feeling of inferiority. They have been able to obtain many more points than they have. It’s a good team regardless of what their classification says. Also, now they play more liberated, they take each day as if it were the last, as was seen in Ourense. It’s going to be a battle, a very difficult game. Right now the classification does not matter because all the games are very competitive”.

From falling defeats, goodbye to salvation? “We know what football is like, but giving up is not in my DNA. If we lose in the worst case, on Monday we would train to compete again as well as possible. It is not known when inertia changes. I am as optimistic as possible , but we must all demand ourselves. Whatever happens, we will return to training to the death and if the result is not good, it is not the end.
