Dominic Thiem and the management agency “Kosmos” are ending their cooperation of around one and a half years.
This was reported by the company of ex-soccer star Gerard Piqué in a broadcast late Monday evening. From now on, Thiem’s brother Moritz will take over the tasks formerly managed by “Kosmos”.
Only recently after the two-set defeat in the Davis Cup against Borna Gojo on Saturday, Thiem spoke in an interview with APA: “My management will not make me a better player, my management will not ignite the fire in me either. It doesn’t matter if who manages me. It also has to be said that Kosmos wasn’t very lucky with me. I signed and five days later I shredded my wrist. It didn’t go well, neither for me nor for them. What comes from the outside, is not important at the moment. It is important for me personally that I fully ignite the fire.”
This means that the second separation between the agency and a contractual partner takes place within a very short time. Only a few weeks ago there was a break between Kosmos and the International Tennis Federation ITF.
