The RLP badminton winner on all fronts in Pontivy

The leaders of the Réveil laïque pontivyen badminton mobilized on the grounds and in the organization of the eighth Pondi tournament, Saturday and Sunday.

The eighth edition of the Pondi tournament, organized on Saturday February 4 and Sunday February 5, at the Kérentré hall, by the Réveil laïque pontivyen (RLP) badminton, was a success for the club. Both at the organizational level and at the level of the results of the Pontivyan players.

After considering canceling the tournament, due to competition from the French badminton championship taking place in Rennes, the RLP opted to maintain a tournament open to players from Regional 4 to unclassified level. 175 participants came to do battle on the different tables. “It’s a great satisfaction. Next year, we will offer the tournament up to National 1 level. There will be a lot of people in Pontivy the first weekend of February 2024,” announces President Wesley Janvier.

Pontivyan victories: Noémie Frin in mixed doubles series 2 (with Dylan Frin, Stade Rochelais); Nadège Le Gargasson and Aubane Baucher in women’s doubles Series 3; Nolwenn Maillet and Yoan Guéganic in mixed doubles series 3; Nicolas Garnier in men’s doubles series 4 (with Benoît Prigent, Stade Porte Normandie); Romain Sylvère in men’s singles series 6.
