Celebrated in Legazpi, the five medals achieved by the women stand out
Six medals, three gold and three silver (five of them in the female category), was the balance of the Judo Klub Lizardi competitors in the Gipuzkoa junior category championship held last Saturday at the Urbeltz pediment, in Legazpi.
Of the nine participants, five in the women’s category and four in the men’s, six managed to play a final, and three win gold. All of them performed at a high level, in addition to getting a place for the Euskadi Championship on February 25.
In women, the best
Highlighting the results of the girls, since it turned out to be the best club in Gipuzkoa in the female category. Nahia Arregi, who despite still being a cadet athlete, won her four fights with authority and with beautiful ipones in judo-floor.
The gold medals went to Lore Austing, Naiara Villasante and Nahia Arregi and the silver medals went to Eva Manzanas, Nora Azurmendi and Aritz Austing. Unax Mendez and Xabier Aginaga also competed, although without being able to win medals.
