The earthquake in Turkey affects football: a missing player

And it is that, the striker who represents the Ghanaian team, Christian Atsu was completely affected by the earthquake that was felt in Turkey. The former Chelsea, Newcastle United and Malaga player, who now plays for Hatayspor in the Turkish Super League, accompanied by the club’s sports director, Taner Savur, felt the severity of the earthquake in the Hatay region, one of the provinces most affected by the earthquake magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale.

Christian Atsu, who had scored in Hatayspor’s victory against Kasimpasa on the last date played in the Turkish Super League before the effects of the earthquake, is news on Ottoman soil, as the Ghanaian winger is immersed in the rubble of the earthquake, a blow strong not only for Ghana and for the Turkish club, but for the former teams of the African.

According to information from the Turkish media, both Christian Atsu and Taner Savur are trapped in the rubble and the same club has asked that the search for the two Hatayspor members be expedited. Other clubs such as Málaga, one of the teams where Atsu passed, referred to the issue of the African winger. The people of Malaga appeared on their social networks to leave a message for Christian, “our thoughts are with him and his family in these moments of terrible anguish”.
