The Castelldefels Youth Basketball Club and the Badalona Youth Club sign a collaboration agreement to promote basketball.

La Penya has chosen the CBJC as one of the six national and international teams with which to link up due to its particular way of working. This alliance between both entities has been signed for the next four years. It will allow them to work together on projects such as training ‘clinics’ for players and coaches, participating in tournaments, organizing sports camps and other activities that will offer unique experiences to the members of the Baix Llobregat club. At the national level, La Penya will collaborate with Club Bàsquet Joventut Castelldefels, CB Santamaría, CB Bosques Menorca and Improve Basketball. In addition, they will also work with Ura Basket from Finland and the Basketball Academy Amsterdam from the Netherlands.

La Penya is expanding its presence and has reached agreements with national and international teams to increase the scope of its working method, as well as to support the sporting and structural development of the clubs with which it collaborates.

The Club Bàsquet Joventut Castelldefels has been chosen among six teams to form part of an agreement due to its unique working method, focused on the comprehensive development of its players and coaches both sportingly and personally.

The clubs have agreed to work together on various projects. These include training ‘clinics’ for players and coaches, participation in competitions, organization of sports camps and other activities that will offer unique experiences to club members.

Promote basketball and strengthen clubs

Jordi Martí, sports director of Club Joventut Badalona, ​​explains that the objective of this project is to take advantage of the club’s history to export its methodology and open new frontiers with other teams. This initiative will serve to promote basketball, strengthen the clubs and have a better understanding of the players. To do this, they will have top-class coaches who will be in charge of coordinating the Camps. The signed agreement lasts for four seasons and its purpose is to create a brand and build a club.

Jordi Oliver, the club’s sports director, was pleased to have reached an “innovative agreement that positions us as a benchmark team in the comprehensive training of athletes.” “This trust placed in our club strengthens our work methodology, gives us security and opens doors and opportunities for us to complement all the sports work we are doing at CBJC.”

In the coming weeks, the two clubs will make public the details of the new agreement so that Castelldefels becomes a point of reference for Catalan basketball.
