Tennis: Wawrinka back in the top-100 – rts.ch

Stan Wawrinka made his return to the top-100 of the ATP rankings as expected. The soon-to-be 38-year-old Vaudois gained 8 ranks to find himself 97th.

Quarter-finalist in Rotterdam then in Marseille in the last two weeks, Stan Wawrimka has moved up 33 places since February 13. He was still beyond 190th place before reaching the quarter-finals of the Swiss Indoors in Basel at the end of October 2022.

The former world No. 3 returned to competition at the end of March 2022, after an enforced break of more than a year due to a serious left foot injury. Then 232nd in the world, he had fallen to 361st in May before gradually rising. He had left the top-100 in early January 2022.

Bencic still 9th

The Swiss no1 among men remains Marc-Andrea Hüsler, who lost three places to find himself 51st. Among the women, Belinda Bencic retained her 9th place, while Jil Teichmann fell from 32 to 37th place.
