The first unit has been deliveredhoverbike Xturismo developed by Tokyo-based startup ALI Technologies.
After the start of production of the first 200 units at the end of 2021 and the presentation to the public in March last year, during which, thanks to the participation of Tsuyoshi Shinjo, coach of the Japanese baseball team Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters as driver, the aircraft had gained the attention of the public and the media.
To spread the use of what is considered the first “flying bicycle” in the world, inspired by the “Star Wars” film series, the authorities are at work above all, who will have to overcome the legal and logistical obstacles to the marketing and free use of the medium.
The use of the aircraft, equipped with six propellers and capable of flying three meters high at one speed up to 100 km/h, it is currently intended for relief operations and the transport of supplies in areas affected by natural disasters or that are difficult to reach.
