Michigan State University officials confirmed the death of three people in addition to five people injured following a shooting near Berkey Hall.
The information was confirmed by the official campus police and public security account.
The main suspect was wearing a baseball cap and a jean jacket and has not been taken into custody by Michigan authorities.
The Police Department has requested to take shelter since the suspect was wandering on foot in the vicinity of the campus.
On the other hand, they reported that the police remain active on the scene.
The governor Gretchen Whitmer shared that she is aware of the incident and that she has sent the necessary support to the area.
“I have been informed about the shooting at Michigan State University. Michigan State Police next to local law enforcement and lifeguards are on the ground,” the governor shared.
