Real Madrid point guard Sergio Llull suffers an injury to the internal lateral ligament of his left knee, which occurred in the Copa del Rey basketball quarterfinal match against Valencia Basket on Thursday, the club announced on Monday white.
“After the tests carried out today on our player Sergio Llull by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the internal lateral ligament of his left knee,” the Madrid club confirmed in a statement.
The Spaniard was injured during a game with Klemen Prepelic in the second quarter of the cup game against the ‘taronja’ team, in which he could barely play four minutes. Since then, he no longer participated in the tournament held last week at the Badalona Olympic.
Although the white club is limited to ensuring that the player is “pending evolution”, Llull, 35, will be out for a few weeks.
